The arrival of autumn means many things; cooler days, colourful leaves and of course a new opportunity for your wardrobe. This season, we’re styling a colour palette of classic navy, fresh white and autumnal burgundy. Textures are at the forefront, from light chiffon dresses, to chunky knits, corduroy and suedette. If you’re only going to add one piece to your new season wardrobe this September, make sure it’s one of the below.

The Coat

Double Faced Coat

Every autumn wardrobe needs a ‘wear everywhere’ coat and our choice this season is the Double Face Collared Coat in Navy. With a point collar and tailored silhouette it’s the epitome of multi-purpose dressing, and is equally as appropriate over knits and jeans as occasion wear.

The Dress

Vintage Frill Dress

For a simple way to refresh your wardrobe this season, a pretty dress in an autumnal burgundy hue is a good place to start. The Vintage Frill dress has a flattering drop hem and long sleeves, making it especially versatile. Pair with tights and boots and finish with a black biker jacket. Come winter, layer over a roll neck.

The Co-Ord

Flora Top

Matching pieces will provide a plethora of styling options. The Moray Flora print makes an immediate impact, taking inspiration from bold 70’s prints. Style the top with the matching culottes for a striking look or alternate by pairing with neutral basics. Try the culottes pared with a simple white tee for an original take on casualwear.

The Knit

Roll Neck Jumper

A chunky knit is a wardrobe essential for a reason, and this season the focus is on mixing textures. A cream hue is a great way to keep your overall look light without sacrificing on warmth. For in-between weather wear with lighter pieces such as midi skirts and lightweight culottes to give your summer pieces a little more air-time. For autumn, tuck into boyfriend jeans, roll up the sleeves and keep accessories minimal for an off-duty aesthetic.

The Shirt

Corduroy Shirt

Tap into the corduroy trend with a classic piece that will fit perfectly with the rest of your wardrobe. With a thin corduroy finish and indigo hue the pin needle shirt is the perfect companion to denim; pair with your favourite jeans and ankle boots for a weekend look that will undoubtedly be on heavy rotation. Alternatively, commit wholeheartedly to the cords and pair with a corduroy skirt or trousers. Our favourites? The pastel pink straight trousers. Finish with an oversized boucle coat.
