It’s National Parks Week (24th-30th July) and if there’s one thing the English countryside is especially blessed with, it’s plenty of really good parks. So this week make the most of the great outdoors and get your walking shoes on to explore some of nature’s best playgrounds.

Park rangers will be visiting towns and cities across the country to clue you up on where to go, get crafty and learn how to spot wildlife. Guided walks, farmers markets, and even free ice creams await. Fun for kids and adults alike, it’s time to make the most of this warm(-ish) weather and get outside. Breathe in fresh air, get wind-whipped hair and feel the sun on your skin while staring at rolling hills or salty coastlines. Explore what’s happening near you here.

Here are our top 3 parks:

For going all out ... South Downs

South Downs has 100 miles of trails to play with and while you might not want to brave the lot, you’ll be sure to see something beautiful at any part of this long walk including its famous chalky coastline.

For unforgettable views ... The Lake District

Make a weekend (or week) of it and tick the Lake District off your bucket list. Offering history, waterfalls, otherworldly sights and of course, lakes, make sure to take your camera and take in this breath-taking place.

What to wear...

While you may want to opt for a full waterproof body suit and walking sticks, for those wishing to go on a brisk stroll we suggest cotton-soft base layers and stretchy separates that will see you through a lovely walk and then straight into the pub afterwards.

Our Essentials collection has everything you need to slip on and stay comfortable or layer up with staple basics that will stand everything from stomping through woods to shopping with the girls.
