Held throughout the country during summer, the Great British Food Festival is a relative newcomer on the summer events scene. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or just looking for a family day out, there’s something to suit all tastes (both literally and figuratively).
The Festival started on April 24th and is running in a variety of locations throughout the season, ending in Arley Hall in Cheshire on Sunday 24th September. May’s events span the 27th, 28th and 29th and are held at Harewood House and Weston Park respectively.
On the agenda? For the cooking enthusiasts there are chef demos being held throughout the event as well as foraging walks and an artisan food market. For those more interested in the atmosphere, make sure to check out the Challenge Stage; the program features events such as The GB Cheese Off Taste & Vote, Drinks Enthusiast Free Tasting and the Cake Off. Set to a backdrop of live music within the picturesque grounds of various British heritage sites, the Great British Food Festival is not one to be missed.
Top Tip: If you’re heading to the Weston Park location, for only £3 upgrade your ticket to view the house as well.
