Summer Knitwear

Summer and knitwear may not be phrases that ordinarily go hand-in-hand. However don’t be afraid of investing in knits for the summer season, just keep them lightweight. Preparedness is key, particularly for all-day events; cardigans and jumpers that can be thrown over summer dresses and tops are often saviours come evenings or overcast days.

Lightweight Outerwear

Remember that transitional coat you bought in March and thought you wouldn’t need come May? Realistically, cost per wear may be better than expected. A go-to piece of spring/summer outerwear will be a useful addition to this seasons’ wardrobe. Choose a classic style you can layer over everything from dresses to lightweight trousers and shorts. Casually drape over shoulders for that ‘just threw it on’ je ne sais quois.

Midi-Length’s

For the in-between British weather, a 3/4 leg length is a sensible choice. A midi dress or cropped trouser will see you prepared for any condition. With a myriad of shapes and styles available, there’s a midi length option for any occasion. Try a fit and flare dress for formal events or evenings out, or a casual chambray option for a daytime look. If you choose a voluminous culotte, trouser or skirt, opt for a cinched waist to create a more defined silhouette.
